Ottoman's and Bakeware!

My hubby and i live in a little cottage and unfortunately we don't have a lot of storage space. We are also trying to redecorate our living room piece by piece, slowly but surely. So what better piece of furniture to own is there, but a storage ottoman coffee table? I love them because you can store just about anything in them! Books, magazines, shoes, blankets, games whatever your lil heart desires! (Well... really only what you can cram in there)
I was also looking at some Bakeware at CSN Stores and they offer a great variety! They sell my dream Le Creuset bakeware set which i would LOVE to have!
(elbowing hubby*hint hint wink wink* would make a great anniversary gift honey!)  CSN Stores have been awesome enough to ask me to do a review for them so stay tuned!

Project: Guest Bedroom

Yesterday on Craigslist the Hubby and I found this awesome full size bed wood bed frame for free! We have a spare room that we have been wanting to turn into a guest bedroom for a while now. Currently the room is kind of a office/laundry/storage room. Now that we have a bed, its slowly but surely going to turn into a guest bedroom.
Here is the look we are going to try for:

I love the idea they have going on with the frames!

Basically a modern Shabby Chic look. The bed frame is really cute but definitely needs to be sanded down and either refinished or painted. I will post some before and after pics as soon everything is done!
Stay tuned because i have some awesome giveaways coming soon too!

Friday Blog Hops!

1. Did you have a pen pal when you were little (or now)? Where were/are they from?
Yup i did! I met her at camp when i was in 1st grade. We stayed pen pals til i was in about 6th grade. She lived in some where California.

2. If you could do a different job for one day, what would it be?
Paramedic/Firefighter. That is my total dream job. Finished my EMT school and hopefully this coming Spring i will be in the Fire Academy.

3. Do you remember your biggest fear from when you were little?
I was always afraid of the dark. I still am.

4. What do you think is a waste of time? Why?
I think watching TV is a waste of time. Especially during the day. There is always something more up building and creative to do. We don't really watch it that much. We have our 2 shows we watch a week and that's about it.

5. What is the oldest item you have in your closet?
I have my doll that i have had since i was 2 years old in a little storage box.

$25.00 Restaurant.com gift certificates only $1.00 today!

This is really cool! My hubby and i love to go out to dinner so this was a real score for us! Go to www.restaurant.com  click on the $25.00 gift card you want to get to your favorite restaurant. (It will say that it cost around $10.00-sometimes higher depending on the restaurant.)  Proceed to check out and enter the promo code "wow" (all lowercase) It will then lower the cost of the gift certificate to $1.00! How is awesome is that?! So for $1.00 you get $25.00 worth of food at your favorite restaurant!
Some restrictions apply: Most have a minimum purchase of $35.00 and are dine in only. (Varies from different restaurants though)
They also say only one certificate may be redeemed per party, per month, per restaurant, even if the party is seated at separate tables and/or receives more than one check.
You can buy more than one certificate for the promotion price! Don't forget the promotion price is only good today so hurry! :)
p.s. I don't know if it was just my computer but there site is really slow! But be patient! Its worth it!

Baked Blueberry Pecan French Toast

Yesterday I had some of my girlfriends over for breakfast and made Baked Blueberry Pecan French Toast from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. Holy Moly Cow! It was the best (and i mean THE BEST-you are talking to a big time food snob here) French Toast i have ever eaten!

Mel couldn't have described it any better: The pecans are toasted and tossed with a smidgen of butter – giving them a delicious, buttery flavor. The french baguette slices soak in an egg/milk/brown sugar mixture overnight and it all bakes to glorious perfection with fresh, tart blueberries and a brown sugar caramel drizzled atop.
It was absolutely amazing and makes a perfect morning breakfast! (Or midnight snack)
You can find the recipe here:
It was a splurge breakfast but well worth all the yummy calories. It is very rich, i could only eat one piece. I sprinkled it with some maple syrup. Fresh whipped cream would make it even more fabulous. It pairs up well with scrambled eggs and fresh coffee. The best part is, its super easy to make and not at all time consuming! Its also very elegant and definitely company worthy. My guests loved it!
